All My Belongings

All My Belongings_MECH1.inddBook Review:

Cynthia Ruchti’s new book All My Belongings is a beautifully written novel. It is a lovely mix of drama and romance - a book of exquisite detail. The novel explored some of life’s most difficult topics and did so beautifully, showing Becca’s struggle to escape the legacy left by her father. I wanted to tell her that she did  not have to bear the burden of her father’s actions and to recognize God’s hand working in her life.
Ruchti has created emotionally intricate characters that draw the reader in and I think that you will find yourself cheering for Becca. Observing the changes in her was truly heartwarming as the story progressed. She is smart, funny and so caring. When her precariously balanced life is completely turned upside down her true character and her new dependence on God shines through beautifully. At the end of the book, Becca does what seemed to me to be an unbelievable sacrifice and shows exactly the wonderful woman she has become.
I did not see the romance between Becca and Isaac coming. It was unexpected and yet, perfect. I was so impressed by Isaac’s character. He was a true man of principle.
This is a book that will touch many emotions. It is an example of perfect healing that could only come through God. I highly recommend this novel. I received this book from the publisher in exchange for a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

About the Book:

A new life and a new identity can’t protect Becca from a past that refuses to go away.

Changing her name to Becca Morrow, she moves to California and settles into a new life and new job caring for ailing mother of handsome young businessman, Isaac Hughes.
But just as she’s wondering if she and Isaac are headed for a relationship, Becca’s patient passes away under unusual circumstances. Suddenly, her past catches up with her and the unnerving details of her heritage threaten to destroy all sense of home and all hope for love.
Even if she could clear her name, a phone call wraps a suffocating shroud around her heart. Her estranged father needs her help. But can Becca open her new life to the man who ruined her past?
